November 2010 Guangzhou has hosted the 16th Asian Games. The 610 meter tall Canton Tower was the center-point of festivities during the fireworks at the Opening and Closing Ceremony of the Asian Games in Guangzhou, China. The city's makeover includes various cultural buildings, a new central park and a brand-new 610 meter tall TV tower. Now fully modernized Guangzhou is ready for the 21st Century.
